July means family reunion time! We drove to the Salt Lake area first where Logan flew out with his siblings to surprise Kelly coming home from his mission to Oregon. The kids and I then headed up to Logan to get together with the Joneses to be at Josh's homecoming. It was fun seeing everybody, even if it was just for a little bit. We celebrated the 4th of July with Shanna and her crew and then headed to Southern Utah to spend some time with my family.
We always love the time we spend at the cabin. It is so peaceful and beautiful there.
Everyone especially loved the new paddleboat Grandma and Grandpa got. What a fun way to spend an afternoon! (Minus the time Janie was so excited to touch a fish and to our horror we found her holding a very sickly one that couldn't get away before she picked it up. Ew!!)
Ahh, the views!
We then headed back to SLC to get set up for the Cowan reunion. (It was our turn to "host".) Along the way we stopped for Logan to have an " informal interview" at BYU and got to spend time with the lovely Riding family (minus Stu). It was so wonderful seeing Celia and her cute kids and their awesome home. What a thrill for the kids to see the horse, etc. Celia is truly one of the best people I ha e ever known.
We were also lucky to spend some time with Jason and Tami and their boys for Jason's birthday. We went to the zoo and had cake and swam at their hotel. We sure miss them and all our family who are so far away. But, we were lucky to have them come to Will and Chelsea's home to be there for Tad's blessing. It was wonderful to have so many good men stand around our son and help give him a Priesthood blessing.
We spent the next week with the Cowan's. We rode on the Heber Creeper and had a blast singing Karaoke, dancing and being silly.
Milo, of course, was delighted to be on a real train.
These girls just can't get enough of each other. It was so fun seeing them together all week.
Our good friends gave us this awesome train set and it completely blew Milo's mind.
Handsome haircut!
Carli was very proud of this selfie. So sweet.
