October 2020

 Field Trip Friday to Augusta.

They're the best crew to be around.

An osprey nest.

My cute little Tad sees a flower and always picks it for me. He has my heart.

We do have a fun time hiking together, but really, most of our outdoor experiences look like this. Yeah, they spotted a spider.

We love General Conference! And our beloved scone tradition.

Love this view!

A cute friend's birthday party.

Another STEM experiment.

And another Field Trip Friday to the beach.

As always, sunburns all around!

Our first Sunday back at in person church. Oh how we loved our at home experiences, but what a sweet day to be able to worship together with our other ward members.

Happy 50th, Uncle Daryl!

Had a sick day for the first time in 6 months. And of course, I was the one to come down with the stomach bug. Spent my time in bed practicing up on some embroidery. Always make me think of my mom and her amazing talent.

A few months ago my neighbor gave me all her fabric and asked me to make some masks for her and her family. Much of the fabric was from her daughter's sewing lessons. They have since gone through some tough times, so I made a quilt from some squares the daughter had already cut out. It was a fun, colorful project and will hopefully brighten their situation a little.

Aunt Shanna (a speech pathologist) asked Janie to share her experience using the quarantine to overcome her lisp. This cute girl really worked hard and it was fun to hear her use that experience to help others.

Field Trip Friday to a pumpkin patch. It's a little different (sweatier) experience here in Georgia.

Logan decided he needed to do something with all the beautiful kitchen utensils he is carving that don't have a home. So he started an Etsy shop. It has been a very fun experiment for all of us.

In this adventure Logan discovered some local saw mills where he finds a fun variety of wood. He has connected with the guy who owns/runs it. He told me he loves the days when Logan comes because Logan's enthusiasm is contagious to an empath like him and the rest of his day is better because of it.

These two discovered they were twinning when they got together for a play date.

We love disc golf! Such a fun family activity.

Look at the size of that bun!!

So nice to have good friends who are creative party planners. I was not feeling Halloween this year, but thanks to Alyssa my kids had a very fun Halloween party with friends. And Carli got her baby snuggles in too.

We were able to have a socially distanced ward trunk-or treat. I'm grateful for creative people who find ways for life to go on in a positive way.

The knight in shining armor and his princess.

This year we had a mad scientist, and black cat, the night sky and a knight in shining armor. We trick-or-treated at a couple of neighbor's houses and then went to a friend's house for dinner and a walk through their haunted woods. It was a very fun Halloween.
