July 2021

July was a nice time to spend at home, hanging out with friends, swimming at Splash and celebrating birthdays and anniversaries.

Logan has made one too many comments about the color of a couple of hand-me-down shorts the boys have. So Carli and Alisha decided to give him a little gift.

Teal shorts

I love going to the wood mill with Logan. He and Chris have a connection that you just can't explain. Chris tells me every time we come how much he loves when Logan is there. He told me he is an "empath" and really absorbs all the excitement Logan has.

We went to watch fireworks at a friend's house for the 4th of July and made red, white and blue cotton candy to share with our friends.

Baby lemons! Finally. We have babied it enough it better produce something.

At another 4th of July celebration Logan decided to see if he was still any good on a pogo stick.

These two are seriously the cutest little friends. Especially (kind of) trying to sit quietly together in church.

We took a little trip to Fort Pulaski. This time in the heat of the summer. Last time we went on New Year's Day. A little different experience in the heat instead of the cold.

This cute girl decided it was time for a change. So cute!

We tried out a new adventure with this whole Carve Out a Niche business. The Farmer's Market was a fun addition to our summer. It was really fun to be out in the community and Logan's business did really well. By the end of the season he was running out of stock!

We babysat for some friends and my girls were in love. This little guy loved making and eating cotton candy.

The littlest dude was pretty sad, but these expert babysitters knew just what to do to cheer him up.

We started off the Tokyo Summer Olympics with candy sushi and stir fry.

Carli has become an excellent babysitter. She does a great job and has made a lot of money (and bought a lot of books) this summer. She sure loves this little family.

We were walking around our neighborhood and saw this kinda cute little critter sneaking around. He's only kinda cute because I really hate what he does to my backyard.
Mole

Tad loves to earn outings to Krispy Kreme. This was an especially fun one with just Mom and Dad. He sure is sweet.

Time for another school year to begin! Hard to believe my baby is at his first open house and heading into kindergarten.

With Janie Lou sharing a birthday with Harry Potter and turning 11 we figured this year's party theme just HAD to be Hogwarts. And it was magical! (See what I did there?)

Her crafty old man made wands for all the witches and warlocks.

Carli decorated the Hagrid inspired cake.

We had lots of fun themed food.

And had lessons in the potions, magical animals, patronus conjuring and more.

Happy birthday to Janie! She is such a sweetheart and I can't believe she's going into middle school. She is smart, kind, imaginative, funny, creative and an awesome sister. We love her!

A perfect picture to end our perfect summer!
