June 2021

May is always one of the busiest months of the year, so it's nice to move on to June to relax and enjoy the summer.

We loved celebrating Alisha's birthday with her.

And especially fun celebrating it by getting away to the beach and eating a delicious dinner in Hilton Head.

I was called as the Young Women's President in April and had the joyful experience of going to Young Women's Camp. It was such a fun way to get to know the girls and hang out with my girl. Nothing like bonding through dirt, sweat and sleepless nights. (The chicken's name was Hei Hei and he had many stories to tell...)

The little guy in the middle found himself in the middle of these girls trying to get a picture. He wasn't about to say no to that opportunity.

We had to let our best guy no how much we love him for Father's Day early before we left on our trip.

Our first stop in Utah was to visit the Cowans. We made a pit stop at Auntie Aubrey's house and then headed to Heber City, where these two became fast friends. We rarely even saw them because they were always off playing together.

Strike a pose!

Just us hanging out on the porch.

We had to get some grandkid pics in before Grammie and Papa leave on their mission in a couple of months. These never stay current for long. Just a few more months and another cousin will be added to the mix.

We had a fun time swimming together at the aquatic center.

These two had a little bonding moment reading books together.

We hiked into the mountains to see what we could see. It was an amazing view with a fun crew. I sure miss the mountains.

What a perfect goodbye to such a fun week!

Next stop was Cedar City to celebrate Mom and Dad's 50th wedding anniversary. It was so fun to get everyone together for this. We spent part of a day at the history museum.

Then we all got together to eat some good food and celebrate two of our favorite people who have done so much for us. We gifted them a quilt with all the names of their posterity and we watched a video of pictures of their life together. The last song is performed by the kids and grandkids.

Logan organized a game of basketball and I wasn't about to get in the middle of these guys. The shortest one there is 6'2"!

We spent a day in Cedar Breaks and it was heavenly. The weather, the people, the sights, the flowers, the freshness of the air... It was just what we all needed.

It's always fun to go to Grandma and Grandpa's house where the temple is just a short walk away. This guy and I took a few walks during our visit and there's no more beautiful sight than this.
