November 2018

Carli participated in chorus again this year. They were part of a high school music festival.

These kids have sure enjoyed the swing set. Tad will swing until his legs fall asleep - literally. It was even more fun once Dad added the slide to it.

We loved watching Janie's 3rd grade musical. She dressed up like a cowgirl and had a speaking part too.

Logan wen to San Diego for a conference. His favorite parts were hiking, going to the zoo and going to the temple there.

We had a pie-making playgroup to practice for Thanksgiving. I helped make my very first pecan (PEE-can) pie. It was pretty good, if I do say so myself.

Milo's preschool had a fun little Thanksgiving feast. Turkey costume and all.

We decided to take a camping trip all on our own and see if we could hack it. It was beautiful weather, fun company and a relaxing distraction from the busy-ness that begins around the holidays. We hiked around the camping area and saw raccoons, armadillos and all kinds of birds.

These kids thought it would be so fun to sleep in a tent by themselves. We acquiesced the first night, against my better judgement. The second night we all got better sleep.

It's hard waking up on a cold morning to take the trek to the bathrooms, but this view sure made it worth it.

I still can't believe we live somewhere that it's possible to go camping and to the beach over the Thanksgiving holiday. Well, at least we thought it was warm enough. We *may* have been the only ones on the beach in swimsuits. (And when I say "we", I mean everyone else in the family.)

Carli went and turned 11 and then this cute kid went ahead and turned 5, whether we liked it or not. He wanted a cherry cream cheese pie for his birthday, just like his daddy had for his birthday earlier in the month.

Bath time!!

Playgroup with our favorite "Sunbeam".

Even though we have swings in our own backyard now, it's still fun to take a trip to the park.

It's basketball season again.

And, boy oh boy, we are excited for Christmas around here!
