One of Logan's Christmas presents was a trip to the ice skating rink. It wasn't quite the same as ice skating outside, but the kids picked up on it quick and I think Logan really loved getting on the ice again. He really misses his hockey days. Ironically, it was almost 80 that day! So we followed it up with a drive around the wildlife reserve where we saw several gators and even some gator babies!
Our crew decided we needed a night away before Alisha has her baby boy, so we headed out. We spent hours shopping (where I found these gigantic unicorns to show Janie), and then headed to eat at Paula Deen's restaurant and then watch an improv comedy show. I have the greatest time with these ladies!
Saturday we spent walking around Savannah and eating good food and just generally enjoying each other's company. We successfully (maybe with a couple extra hints) escaped an escape room and went searching for some excellent dessert that night.
The restaurant we didn't end up patronizing...
While the moms were away, this is what was going on at home. This sweet girl is such an awesome older sister. While Carli had playdates and basketball, she entertained her brothers with hours of imaginative play. We are so grateful for her and the part she has in our family!
Janie has been waiting and waiting for us to work on her rainbow themed bedroom. She was sure happy about this piece.
Unfortunately, this is what the last half of our January looked like. One week a stomach bug made a clean sweep of all six of us. Then the next week we had one perforated ear drum, an ear infection and strep throat. Ugh...
We thought it would be fun to wake the girls up at midnight to see the lunar eclipse. Logan set up the telescope and we got some good pictures. The girls looked at it, thought it was pretty cool, but promptly headed back to the warmth of their beds.
This beautiful girl was an emcee for the school talent show. She is so poised and confident and really had an ability to rouse the crowd. We are so proud of her!
