Milo's fun playdate making gingerbread houses. He was happy to be with his friend, but a little disappointed how his house turned out.
Gingerbread people! The best part is how the house smells when they're baking.
Trash walk tradition day! The kids were very proud of how the stretch of road looked when we were done with it.
Had to sneak a pic of this boy with Santa because he was too big for his mom to be around during this.
Not for this kid though. Man, he's cute!
Candy cane friends.
Gingerbread house tradition.
I call this one "Christmas Gift from a Seventh Grade Boy". His poor mother would be so mad at him.
Band concert!
Isn't she a beauty!
The things that I find in my storage closet at school. . . Sure makes for great white elephant gifts.
Chorus concert. Such beautiful friends with such amazing talent.
Annual buche de noel.
We love visiting all the light displays as part of our traditions.
It's not the Christmas season until the peanut brittle is made.
Nothing like warm soup in homemade bread bowls on a cold day.
Sugar cookie making day.
Christmas Eve dinner. Don't look too close. I let the bread braids over rise. Still good to eat though.
Oxford sweatshirts from Grammie and Papa on Christmas Eve. Love this picture.
These two hard at work writing letters to Santa. If you look closely at Milo's letter you'll see he started to put quotation marks around Santa, then thought better of it and turned it into a smiley face. Good thing, 'cause Santa may have just changed his mind about Milo. . .
Christmas morning!
It got cold enough to freeze the fountain. Trouble is, around here it doesn't happen often enough for people to remember to turn off the water. Made for a pretty picture though.
A sweet note from a student.
A late bowling birthday celebration for Milo. He has a great group of really cute friends. He is so smart and funny. And handsome to boot. We are grateful for what he adds to our family everyday.
Date night eating jambalaya and shrimp low country boil. Delicious! Finished off the date by wandering around the new grocery store because we are just that cool, and not old at all.
Finished off the year by taking the family to a New Year's Eve dance and reenacting an Uncle Will move. It was a fun way to ring in the new year.
